To give the river back its space in the city

As partner of Translighthouses – More than green, the Viraçao&Jangada team has shared its knowledge and communication skills to produce a series of videos on pilot cases, with the valuable input of local communities and the technical expertise of director Sabrina Santorum.

Here is the sixth video, dedicated to “Pedieos River Linear Park”, the pilot case in Strovolos – Cyprus, where Nbs are implemented as systems to rehabilitate urban river spaces and their services. The initiative involve the enrichment of the occupation patterns of urban green spaces in historic urban environments to combat heat islands, reduce flooding, foster well-being and enhance urban biodiversity, while multiplying recreation opportunities offered to inhabitants by green public spaces.
